Environmental:

The firm has a strong environmental focus specifically in the petroleum industry and it represents clients in all aspects of environmental matters including regulatory oversight and compliance, environmental assessment, remedial ventures and the defense of cost recovery actions. Indeed, we have vast experience in representing clients in connection with alleged discharges of petroleum and other hazardous substances into the environment. In counseling our clients, we often work with a team of environmental professionals as our goal is to limit our clients’ legal exposure while, at the same time, maximizing the benefit to the environment. 

Commercial:

We have experience representing corporate and individual clients in commercial matters, many of which relate to petroleum marketing and sales. Indeed, as anyone in the petroleum industry knows, the issues that arise in the industry are not solely related to per se environmental incidents. Rather, they can include anything and everything that relates to the operation of a service station including, but not limited to, franchise relationships, claims under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, landlord-tenant dealings, regulatory issues, criminal infractions, construction contracts, employer-employee relations, sales and acquisitions, development, financing and secured transactions and personal injury matters. 

General Litigation:

We represent corporate and individual clients, including insurance companies and municipalities, in general litigation matters including the defense of personal injury complaints, civil rights claims, breach of contract and other general defense matters.
