Mr. Harriton was an Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County from 1979 to 1983.  He was subsequently employed by the firm of Bower & Gardner where he supervised a caseload of defense litigation matters. The majority of his caseload was composed of medical malpractice defense matters on behalf of municipalities as well as private hospitals in the metropolitan area. He also defended claims against resident physicians, nurses, various department heads and attending physicians. Mr. Harriton then supervised the litigation department at Pirro and Monsell, P.C. in White Plains, New York where he represented the interests of various corporate and individual clients in connection with general liability and construction litigation, franchise and dealership law and environmental cases instituted by governmental regulatory agencies and private parties against oil companies. 

Mr. Harriton started the firm over 25 years ago and tries cases and argues appeals on behalf of corporate, insurance company and individual clients involving commercial matters, disputes between gasoline franchisors and franchisees under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, education law, personal injuries arising from alleged negligence, products liability, toxic tort and labor law violations as well as environmental cases brought by federal and state regulatory agencies against petroleum companies. He has been a guest lecturer at the annual Petroleum Marketing Attorneys' Conference sponsored by major oil companies and held in Washington, D.C.
